Now

Currently I'm on Winter Break

  • Applying to Grad School! I want to pursue a PhD in Materials Science specifically focusing on electron microscopy.
  • Working on a few side projects that I've picked up over the break!
  • Waiting a few weeks so I can go to a bar for the first time
fig 1: contact information and current status

Hey! I'm Mehul, currently a senior at UC Berkeley studying Materials Science and Nuclear Engineering. Throughout my four years at Berkeley, I've been part of a few research labs and have done research in Electron Microscopy, Nuclear Materials, Ferroelectrics, Materials for Extreme Environments, Applied Superconductivity and Radiation Detection. I've loved both theoretical and experimental aspects of my research and my aim is to bridge the two through computational methods for electron microscopy. Beyond the lab I love going to art museums, 3D modeling and I've been getting into crocheting!

As for this site (or as long as it stays in this iteration), I've mostly designed it so that I can share a bit more about myself and what I think is cool. Feel free to click around and if you have any specific questions feel free to contact me!

Looking Forward

I'm currently waiting on responses from graduate school applications and I've been doing a bit of background reading on various topics I may be interested in pursuing in grad school (computational and experimental TEM methods). If you're interested in discussing research, collaboration opportunities, or just want to chat about materials science, feel free to reach out. You can also find my experiences and some of my writing elsewhere on this site.
